THE UKCRN HELPDESK
Portfolio users may wish to report a problem, make an enquiry, request assistance or submit a request for changes to be made to the Portfolio system.

In the first instance Portfolio users should submit their requests via the UKCRN Helpdesk which can be accessed at this address:https://portal.ukcrn.org.uk/helpdesk/. This will allow UKCRN to make sure that requests are passed to the appropriate people and dealt with as quickly as possible. It also creates an audit trail of requests which have been made and problems which have been resolved.

UKCRN has received a number of requests from users for changes to be made to the Portfolio system and its associated applications. Each request is assessed and, if appropriate, prioritised and the work is then scheduled as part of an ongoing project of improvements to the system. System change requests should also be logged in the first instance on the Helpdesk. Each change request will be reviewed and if appropriate the Portfolio user may be sent, and required to complete, a Change Request Form.

The Helpdesk is easily accessed while using the Portfolio by a link in the bottom right corner of the login page of the UKCRN web site. Portfolio users do not need to be logged-in to access the link. The link also appears on every page in the system once the Portfolio user is logged-in. Any of these links can be used to submit a Helpdesk request. The link is labelled "If you experience problems using the application, please click here".

The Helpdesk cannot yet accept attachments, so if you need to send a file, please log the problem on the Helpdesk, then email the file to the webmaster@ukcrn.org.uk email account, quoting the Helpdesk reference number.

PLEASE NOTE: Issues logged on the Helpdesk will be given priority over those raised by phone or email unless they constitute an emergency.
