Programme management and governance

Management for the North West Exemplar Programme is provided by:

• Programme Director - Clare Morgan, Director for Industry, NIHR CRN Coordinating Centre
• Programme Manager - Natalie Goulden, Project Manager, NIHR CRN Coordinating Centre
• Programme Communications 
  - Daniel Spiers, Communications Officer, NIHR CRN Coordinating Centre 
  - Aaron Gow, Communications Manager, Greater Manchester CLRN

A Project Steering Group, chaired by John Sitzia (Acting Chief Operating Officer, NIHR CRN Coordinating Centre), meets monthly to oversee the delivery of project objectives. The group includes representatives from each of the North West Comprehensive Local Research Networks, the Department of Health, NHS North West, the pharmaceutical industry and Chief Executives from the North West NHS Trusts.

An operational management group of NIHR Network staff and NHS Trust colleagues meets every four weeks. The group reviews progress against the project plan and discusses operational issues which affect delivery of the programme.
