An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone with proven clinical trial administration experience to work for one of the countries largest and most successful cancer research networks in developing and supporting a large cancer clinical trial portfolio.

The post holder will be responsible for the management and coordination of the Yorkshire Cancer Research Networks (YCRN) 140 clinical trials taking place in its seven constituent Trusts. The post holder will lead the development of the portfolio working with the Network Manager, Specialist Clinical Advisors (medical consultant level), Specialist Nurse Advisors, Network Site Specific Groups (NSSGs) and local research teams in the development process. The post holder will monitor the recruitment targets set by local Trust research teams ensuring the portfolio delivers on time and on target. The post holder will be expected to present trial performance data to all Network Site Specific Groups and other meetings at a local and national level.

The post holder will be based at the YCRN Coordinating Centre, St James’s Hospital, Leeds but will be required to undertake regular travel to other Trusts in the Yorkshire Cancer Network. The role will also require travel to National trial events and conferences. The post is funded by the Yorkshire Cancer Research Network and is part of the National Institute for Health Research, established in 2001 with funding from the Department of Health, to provide a world-class health service infrastructure to support high-quality clinical research.

This is a full time fixed term post until 31st March 2012 in the first instance.
