The NIHR Clinical Research Network Coordinating Centre was established in 2005 with funding from the Department of Health (DH) in England to provide a world-class health service infrastructure to support clinical research in the UK. The following opportunity has arisen within the NIHR CRN CC. We are looking to appoint a highly motivated individual to work on a diverse and dynamic national initiative; a forward thinker with experience of creating and implementing administration systems and procedures. You will have highly effective organisational and communication skills, be a team player and have the ability to work in a fast moving environment.

You will be a key member of the administration team within the NIHR CRN CC, demonstrating the responsibility for the delivery of a comprehensive and high quality administrative support to the CRN CC team and those administrative staff working within CCRN. You will develop a good understanding of the 25 Comprehensive Local research Networks across England and form excellent working relationships with administrative staff working within them. You will also have the opportunity to lead on discrete projects delegated by the management team.

Some travel will be required within the UK. This role is available for a fixed term of five years, although, further funding may be available depending on relevant qualifications and experience.

This post is Open to Internal Candidates within NIHR CRN CC only.

As An experienced Administrator you will provide a comprehensive high level of support to a busy Research Management and Governance team. A high level of personal initiative will be required to establish and maintain the important liaison and coordination function that is needed.

This exciting opportunity requires strong experience of servicing committees and meetings, excellent written, organizational and communication skills, significant experience of using the Microsoft Office suite and strong self motivation, teamed with the ability to work in a fast moving environment.
