The NIHR Comprehensive Local Research Network (CLRN) funding comprises a fixed (per capita) and flexible (activity based) allocation. Over the last year the National Institute for Health Research Clinical Research Network Coordinating Centre (NIHR CRN CC), with input from a national Activity Based Funding reference group, has been developing a model for activity based funding arrangements to inform NIHR CRN budget allocations.
