Professor Martyn PartridgeClinical Director

The London (North West) Clinical Director is Professor Martyn Partridge.

Martyn Partridge is Professor of Respiratory Medicine in Imperial College London, NHLI Division based at the Charing Cross Hospital, and Honorary Consultant Physician to Hammersmith Hospitals NHS Trust. His academic interests are in evaluating the delivery of respiratory health care.

Professor Partridge is (Honorary) Chief Medical Advisor to Asthma UK (previously known as the National Asthma Campaign) and Vice President and President Elect of the British Thoracic Society. He has been involved in the British Asthma Guidelines since 1990 and is currently on the BTS / SIGN Asthma Steering and Executive committees.

He is on the Clinical Steering Committee of London Ambulance Service and is an elected member of the Council of the Royal College of Physicians and Final Year Undergraduate Coordinator for the Faculty of Medicine, Imperial College London.

Professor Azeem MajeedMartyn is supported by two Co-Directors, Professor Azeem Majeed and Dr Robina Coker.

Professor Azeem Majeed qualified at the University of Wales College of Medicine in Cardiff, Wales, and is accredited in both General Practice and Public Health Medicine. He is currently Professor of Primary Care and Head of the Department of Primary Care & Social Medicine at Imperial College London. His research interests are in; chronic disease management, particularly diabetes & cardiovascular disorders, health policy and the organisation and delivery of health care, the use of information for policy, planning and research and the use of new technology to improve health care.

Dr Robina CokerRobina Coker is Consultant and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Respiratory Medicine based at the Hammersmith Hospital, and Assistant Director of R&D for the Hammersmith Hospitals NHS Trust. She has particular interests in diffuse parenchymal lung disease and the effects of air travel in lung disease. Robina is Chair of the British Thoracic Society Air Travel Working Party, which produced the first UK guidelines on air travel lung disease in 2002. She teaches lmperial College London medical undergraduates and is an examiner for the MB BS examinations as well as examiner for the Royal Brompton Hospital Respiratory Medicine MSc.

Core Team

The Core Team is led by Jenny Stephany, Senior Manager and includes a Lead RM&G Manager, Iva Hauptmannova, an Information Manager and an Administrator.

Executive Group

The day to day operation of the CLRN is supported by an Executive Group, led by the CLRN Clinical Director, which has representation from primary, secondary and tertiary care and mental health.

The Executive Group consists of:
