NIHR Research Centres for NHS Patient Safety and Service Quality

Research Centres for NHS Patient Safety & Service Quality are being established to drive improvements in quality, effectiveness and safety of NHS services. These Centres will focus on research into service delivery and organisation and bring together NHS professionals with other research skills, including social sciences and management schools.

The Centres will receive substantial government funding to ensure they produce world-class outputs and attract and retain the most talented researchers. The number of centres established will depend upon the quality and volume of internationally-excellent proposals received.

An international expert Selection Panel has now reviewed the Pre-Qualifying Questionnaires submitted by NHS/University partnerships wishing to become an NIHR Research Centre for NHS Service Quality & Safety. Full details are available on the NIHR website at the following link.
