A new research and development infrastructure for Wales was launched on Wednesday 5 July.
Clinical Research Collaboration Cymru (CRC Cymru) is part of the strategic work programme of the Wales Office of Research and Development (WORD), which is supporting the initiative with funding in the region of £4.5million a year for the next 3-5 years. It includes 9 research networks, 6 specialist research support services, 2 trials units and a Coordinating Centre.
Professor Janet Darbyshire, Co-Director of UKCRN, gave a presentation at the launch in Cardiff.
