Call for Expressions of Interest

Strategic Development Support for the UKCRN Coordinating Centre in implementing the Comprehensive NHS Research Network in England

The UKCRN Coordinating Centre wishes to identify ten senior and experienced individuals, one from each of the geographical areas encompassed by an SHA, to support the Coordinating Centre in the development and establishment of the Comprehensive NHS Research Network in England. These individuals will have a detailed knowledge of research in the NHS at local level.

Summary

This is a unique secondment opportunity for a number of energetic and motivated individuals with expertise in clinical R&D management and knowledge of NHS R&D systems and processes to contribute to the development of a key component of the new NHS R&D strategy, Best Research for Best Health.

The secondees will strengthen the UKCRN Coordinating Centre in the important task of implementing the Comprehensive NHS Research Network (CRN) across England by harnessing existing expertise at a local level. The secondees will work as part of the UKCRN Coordinating Centre but will be regionally based within their local NHS organisation. A total of ten individuals are sought, representing each of the ten SHA geographical areas in England.
